KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce have been named Sprinters of the Year by All-Athletics.com.
Bolt, who holds both the 100 and 200m world records and a member of the Jamaica sprint relay world record team, copped the award after repeating his triple gold haul at the London Olympics.
Fraser-Pryce topped the female equivalent after setting personal bests in the 100m (10.70) and 200m (22.09) and wining gold and silver medals in those events respectively in London.
The award is given to the most exceptional male and female sprinters across the 100m to 400m.
