JAMAICA'S Reggae Boyz will face east African nation Kenya in a friendly match slated for Connecticut, USA on August 25.
The match is due to be played at the Rentschler field in the state capital of Hartford, with kick-off set for 7:00 pm (6:00 pm Jamaica).
This game follows another friendly set for the FIFA calandar date of August 15, against Central American outfit El Salvador at the RFK Stadium in Washington.
Only two weeks ago, the JFF was forced to squash talks that it was near finalising negotiations for a match against another African country Liberia on July 28.
The match between the 63rd-ranked Jamaicans and the 125th-rated Kenya has received the approval from US Soccer, plus all contractural matters have been finalised, JFF boss Captain Horace Burrell confirmed from Newcastle in England yesterday.
Not being a FIFA approved date, Jamaica may be without many of their top overseas-based players who are in the height of pre-season training, or are involved in the ongoing US Major League and the Scandinavian competitions.
The Boyz will be using both August games to prepare for their back-to-back CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches against the mighty USA on September 7 in Kingston and four days later in Ohio.
Jamaica and the USA are tied on four points apiece to top the group, with Guatemala and Antigua and Barbuda trailing on one point each.
