CIBC FirstCaribbean customer gets the Olympic spirit
Thursday, July 12, 2012
NORINNE Riddock-Porter is celebrating her good fortune as she and husband Manzie pack their bags in readiness for the London Olympic Games.
Riddock-Porter, a customer of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank for over 40 years, is the grand prize winner in the Bank's "Go VISA London 2012 promotion", which saw CIBC FirstCaribbean and VISA teaming up "to give clients the Olympic spirit".
In the lead up to May 31, monthly prize draws delivered three tablet computers and three 32-inch flat screen LCD televisions to six other lucky customers who were also eligible for the grand prize.
Winning 32-inch flat screen televisions were Sophia Taylor, Kathleen McCoy and Carol Edwards. Winners of tablet computers were Beverley Fraser-Prendergast, Racquel Anderson-Robinson and Patel Bhargav.
Riddock-Porter, who opened her first account with CIBC East Street, downtown Kingston and now banks at the Twin Gates Branch, said that her family had talked about going to the Olympics but had not acted on it.
Now, she can hardly contain her excitement as she gets her flag and other paraphernalia won in the competition ready to support Team Jamaica.
CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank customers were automatically entered into the "Go VISA London 2012 Promotion" simply by using their VISA Classic, Gold or Platinum credit cards to make payments over US$50.00 or the local equivalent.
