KINGSTON, Jamaica — Calabar athletes claimed the top two spots in the High School Boys’ discus at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia today.
Fredrick Dacres won the event with a throw of 68.73 metres, well clear of his teammate Basil Bingham who threw 59.69 metres for second.
Third place went to Aaron Zedella of St Edward High in the United States.
A former Calabar athlete, Travis Smikle, set the Penn Relays record of 69.55 metres in 2011.
