LONDON, England — Comments from Gavin SMELLIE, Oluseyi SMITH and Justyn WARNER (CAN) who were disqualified after finishing third in the men's 4x100 relay at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
Gavin SMELLIE
On being disqualified:
"I thought we had the medal. I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm really, really devastated and disappointed. I just don't know."
On thinking they had the bronze medal:
"That's what you work for, just to get the medal. To feel like that and then to have that moment taken away is really harsh."
Oluseyi SMITH
On being disqualified:
"I'm sure the team manager is doing something. We will have to wait and find out. I wasn't watching, I was running. On the outside, you shouldn't get disqualified."
Justyn WARNER
On being disqualified:
"I don't know what happened. We put everything into that and then it just showed up on the board. We ran a great race and we did everything. This is unfortunate. It sucks. Everyone dreams about getting a medal and we have just had one taken away. It's not any of our faults and we are proud of what we did. We had the job done."
