Caniggia Raynor sets new national record in hammer throw

Caniggia Raynor got his outdoor season off to a flying start last Saturday as he improved his national record in the men’s hammer throw to 68.22m, winning the event at the 2016 Emporia State University Relays in Kansas, in the United States.


Raynor, who was breaking the record for the third time since last year, surpassed the 65.57m he threw at the University of Central Missouri Relays on April 17 last year, by over two metres.


Raynor dominated the event on Saturday, winning by over two metres as Dan Raithel was second with 65.69m and Benjamin Hanson was third with 59.74m.
