A partnership between Links 96 FM and the Jamaica Volleyball Association brings beach volleyball teams from across the Caribbean to compete against some of Jamaica's finest players.
Thus, the Charley's J B Rum Beach Volleyball Party Weekend (BVP), from tomorrow through Monday, will be the first beach volleyball party weekend of its kind in Jamaica. Competition starts mid-day on each occasion.
BVP will be a weekend of partying and beach volleyball and promoter Barry Davis said they are looking to grow the beach volleyball locally and hope to use this event as a way of developing sports tourism in Jamaica.
This event is going to be the first sports carnival-type event in Jamaica; all-day partying during the beach volleyball games and each day will end with a themed after-party.
The current Jamaican men's and women's beach volleyball champions will be participating, coming from their recent win at the JustBet/TVJ SN Beach Volleyball League.
