The Cabinet has appointed Christopher Brown as the new chairman of the board of directors of Caymanas Track Limited (CTL).
His appointment became effective from August 19, 2013 to March 27, 2015 when the tenure of the board would expire. Brown has been acting as chairman since the resignation of Joseph Matalon.
And in a move aimed at the continued strengthening of the operational capacity of CTL, the Cabinet has also appointed Patrick Smellie, who has long been associated with the horse racing industry, as the newest member of the CTL board. His appointment completes the make-up of the CTL Board of Directors and will serve a two-year period ending March 2015.
