Clarks Town, All-Stars make stride in Trelawny KO

CLARKS TOWN, Trelawny — Clarks Town FC and All-Stars Sports And Youth Club advanced past the first round of the Trelawny FA/Patrick Atkinson Knockout competition after wins over Rio Bueno and Granville, respectively, as the competition got underway on Saturday.

Oral Cunningham scored twice as Clarks Town hammered Rio Bueno, 5-2, in a come-from-behind win at Cedric Titus High that saw a flurry of goals in the final 12 minutes, plus time added.

Kemar Hylton shot Rio Bueno into the lead in the first minute and led 1-0 at the break before Cunningham scored the first of his two goals to equalise in the 55th.

Demarley Elliot scored in the 77th to give Clarks Town the lead before Orlando Allen made it 3-1 in the 88th.

Lloyd James made it 4-1 in the 90th before Cunningham completed his brace in the 91st to make it 5-1 before Chasson Blake pulled one back for Rio Bueno in the 92nd.

At Wakefield, Sullivan Henry scored in the 23rd and Akeem Graham in the 55th for All-Stars in their 2-0 win.

Two more games are set for this afternoon, Kinloss host Invaders at Kinloss while President's Cup KPO champions Classic United take son Lorrimers Al-Stars at Blackwin.
