Coopers Pen, Classic advance in Trelawny KO

HYDE, Trelawny — Coopers Pen FC and Classic United both scored wins on Sunday to advance to the semi-finals of the Trelawny FA season-opening President's Cup Knock-out.
Coopers Pen came from a goal down to beat Clarks Town FC 3-1 at Hyde while Classic edged Duanvale FC 1-0 at Duanvale as both home teams were beaten.
Jeffery Johnson scored twice, in the 58th and 71st to give Coopers Pen the lead after Sheldon McKenzie had opened the scoring for Clarks Town in the 50th minute.
Kevon Noble then secured the win for Coopers Pen when he scored their third goal, in the 75th minute.
At Duanvale Tamaro Williams scored in the 41st minute for Classic to beat the home team and set up a semi-final meeting with Kinloss at Kinloss on Thursday.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, Coopers Pen will face Major League champions Holland United in the other semi-final at Elliston Wakeland Centre.
