Domtar, Mico into Masters T20 cricket semis

MICO Masters defeated Aerotel/Kool FM by eight wickets to book their places in the semi-finals of the Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum T/20 Cricket Competition which is scheduled for Sunday.
Aerotel/Kool won the toss and batted, making 153-5-20 on the back of topscorer Deron Dixon’s 73, Gary Pink 45 and Oneil Cruickshank 22. The wickets went to Michael Marshall, 3-12.
Mico replied with 155-2 from 17.4. Carl Brissett made 92 not out with seven fours and three sixes. He got support from Michael Marshall, 41 not out. Michael Marshall and Gary Pink got one wicket each.
The other preliminary round match between Melbourne and Portmore saw Dillon Ebanks posting the highest individual score of 102 (not out) while Carlton Facey contributed 26. Melbourne won the match by 40 runs after Portmore could only manage 133 for four off their 20 overs.
Melbourne and Portmore will, however, take no further part in the competition, having not qualified for the semi-final.
Domtar, with seven points, will face Mico Masters, with six points, while May Pen Lions, six points, will battle Wray All Stars, who also have six points. They will play on Sunday at 10:00 am at Kensington Cricket Ground in Kingston.
