Felix for Zagreb meet
Saturday, August 25, 2012
ZAGREB, Croatia (AFP) — US runner Allyson Felix, triple Olympic champion (200m, 4x100 m and 4x400 m relay), will compete in the Zagreb meeting on September 4, organisers said yesterday.
"Allyson ran 21.69 seconds the 200m this summer, she won slightly slower with 21.88 in London. Both results were season's bests," the organisers said at the official website of the Zagreb meeting.
Such results were "more than enough for the Zagreb meeting record, as the one of 22.53 sec set by Nigeria's Mercy Nku in 1999 has been standing for (too) long," they said.
