Frater, Foresythe beaten by Ryan Bailey in Zagreb

KINGSTON, Jamaica — WORLD sprint relay record-holder Michael Frater was well-beaten by American Ryan Bailey in today’s World Challenge meet in Zagreb.

Frater tied with American Darvis Patton for fourth in 10.31 while the Bailey took the event in 10.02. Bailey finished ahead of former World champion Kim Collins (10.14) of St Kitts and Nevis while another Jamaican, Mario Forsythe, took third.

Aileen Bailey, who earlier took third in the 100m, returned to claim second in the women’s 200m. The event went to Olympic champion and world leader Allyson Felix who ran 22.35, a new meet record.

 

Third went to Felix’s countrywoman Charonda Williams (22.96).
