Gen Accident top Broilers in BH Netball

GENERAL Accident defeated Jamaica Broilers, 55-36, to register their first win in the Business House Netball Association Senior 'A' League at the Leila Robinson Courts last Saturday.

It was Broilers' first defeat in two matches — the same as defending champions Scotiabank 'A'. Broilers were led by goalshooter Margaret Lawrence's 45 from 51 attempts, 10 from 15 from Nadine Bryan, and 27 from 34 from Anna Kay Griffiths.

In the Senior 'B' League, Scotiabank beat South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA), 49-36, with Tanisha Hibbert scoring 36 from 49 and Andrea Reid 13 from 23.

Scoring for the losers were Sakera Williams with 22 from 29 and Velda Saunders with 14 from 23.

Michelle Morris with 41 from 64 carried JPS to a 50-36 win over RBC Royal Bank. Trudy Ann Dawson with 19 from 25 and Karen Kidd 17 from 25 scored for the bankers.

National Housing Trust 'A' got past Transport Authority, 44-42, with Jodi Ann Ffrench-Kentish scoring 25 from 32 and Crystal Grant with 19 from 28. For the losers, Kadian Mendez scored 32 from 46.

Lorriane Lewis with 38 from 43 paved the way for Sagicor to beat National Commercial Bank, 47-24. Patricia Reid got 11 from 22 for

the losers.

Jamaica Infrastructure outscored Digicel, 35-28, with Shelly-Ann Williams scoring 28 from 37.

In other results, HEART Trust/NTA beat Guardian Life, 26-13; BOJ beat LIME, 22-20; VMBS bt JNBS, 24-23; NMIA beat NHT 'B'.

The leagues continue on Saturday at the same venue with 14 matches, starting at 2:30 pm.
