General Accident, WISYNCO in showdown
Gerald Reid
Saturday, August 25, 2012
FORMER champions General Accident Insurance will face WISYNCO 'A' as they go in search of their second straight win as the 2012 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Senior 'A' League competition continues this afternoon at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 6:30.
General Accident won their first game easily against Jamaica Broilers, while WISNYCO 'A' were beaten in their first game by both Scotiabank 'A'and Jamaica Broilers in games they forfeited as a result of not having the minimum five players on court playing.
The insurance aggregation should not find it difficult in beating their opponents as they have one of the strongest line-ups in the competition. Goal-shooter Margaret Lawrence and goal-attack Nadine Bryan should easily set the pace for General Accident with goals from passes from Tamara Hylton, Peter-Gaye Thomas and Samantha Mundle.
For WISYNCO, the task is expected to be very tough, because not only have they forfeited two matches, but the team is not as experienced as General Accident and could face a heavy defeat.
Another one-hour Senior 'A' League match will see defending champions Grace Kennedy and Jamaica Broilers in their first game in the league, beginning at 6:30 pm.
The other matches scheduled in the Divisional Leagues are: Advantage General vs Appliance Traders Limited; Norman Manley International Airport vs Altamont Court Hotel; Jamaica National Building Society vs Wray and Nephew at 2:30; National Commercial Bank vs Transport Authority of Jamaica, Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica vs National Housing Trust 'B', Scotiabank 'B' vs Digicel Jamaica and Cari-Med vs Pan Caribbean Bank at 3:45 pm.
Also on are Jamaica Infrastructure Operators vs Jamaica Public Service, Industrial Commercial Development vs Jamaica Money Market Brokers, National Housing Trust 'A' vs South East Regional Health Authority and the Bank of Jamaica vs Guardian Life Insurance at 5:10 pm.
HEART Trust/NTA will face Victoria Mutual Building Society at 6:30 pm.
