PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) — Pacer Ravi Rampaul has been left out of the West Indies squad for the second half of the Celkon Mobile Cup Tri-nation Series which continues in Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow after matches in Jamaica.

Rampaul remains on the injured list after spraining his ankle during the West Indies opening game against Sri Lanka at Sabina Park.

The Trinidad fast bowler did not play in the second match against India after a scan of his ankle revealed the extent of his injury.

Rampaul is being replaced by the promising Barbadian fast bowler Jason Holder.

Holder, who debuted for West Indies on their limited-overs tour of Australia earlier this year, was also part of their Champions Trophy squad but did not play in the tournament.

He debuted for Chennai Super Kings in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meantime, captain Dwayne Bravo who had also missed the Windies second match against India, due to a groin strain, is likely to be fit for the remainder of the series.

West Indies won both their games on the Jamaica-leg of the series and will now contest the remaining games in Trinidad.
