KINGSTON, Jamaica — Holmwood Technical stormed to a 44.82 seconds run to win the High School Girls’ sprint relay at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, USA Friday.
The quartet of Chanice Bonner, Yonique Thompson, Kedisha Devilds and Dianna Johnson romped to victory, holding off the challenge of perennial rival Edwin Allen High, which finished second in 45.15 seconds.
Long Beach Poly of California, USA finished third in 45.80.
Vere Technical, St Jago and St Andrew Girls finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Edwin Allen was fancied to take the triple — sprint, mile and 4x800m relays.
