Holy Family win LIME/INSPORTS Primary League title

Saturday, July 07, 2012

Holy Family Primary and Infant school are the 2012 champions of the LIME/INSPORTS Primary League after beating Irwin Primary 2-1 in the final at Jarrett Park Montego Bay, yesterday.

Two goals in three minutes in the second half saw Kingston's Holy Family take a firm grip of the contest with Jamal Anglin (47th) scoring the opener before Horace Ramsay (50th) doubled it.

Irwin Primary, who are the St James champions, almost fell further behind, before top striker Calwayne Allen scored directly from a corner kick in the 55th minute, five minutes from the end.

The situation created a tense finish for both teams, but the Christopher Richardson-coached Holy Family held their nerve to clinch their first national title in any sport.
