MONTEGO BAY, St James — Defending champions Hoopers and Catherine Hall All-Stars could make a bold step towards a place in the final of the Flow National Basketball League-west when they meet in the second game of a third-round double header at the Montego Bay Cricket Club this afternoon.

Hoopers are the leaders in the five-team competition on 17 points from 10 games played, followed by Granville Jaguars on 16, also from 10 games, while Catherine Hall are on 15 points from nine games.

In the first game at 6:00 pm, Railway Tigers and Inner-city Avalanche, who are seeking to avoid relegation, will meet.

Hoopers and All-Stars have shared their first two meetings, Catherine Hall winning 65-59 in the first round, while Hoopers responded with a 72-56 win in the second round.

Both teams have won the last two games and will be full of confidence coming into today's game.

In the first game, Avalanche will be going after a clean sweep of the season series between both teams after winning the first two 59-43 and 49-34 and a third win today would give them the advantage of saving their place in next year's league.
