DANE Richards, Dane Kelly and Andre Fagan struck at the weekend in overseas domestic competitions in the United States and Vietnam.

Richards scored his second goal in five matches for the Vancouver Whitecaps to clip Real Salt Lake, 2-1, at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Brazilian Camilo Sanvezzo blasted in a low effort into the bottom right corner to put the Whitecaps ahead in the 58th minute, after Will Johnson's attempted clearance ricocheted off the back of Chris Wingert and into the path of the South American.

Six minutes later, the 28-year-old Richards added to Real Salt Lake's misery when he curled a right-footer into the top right corner from just outside the area to extend the Canadian team's advantage.

Nat Borchers responded for the visitors in stoppage time with a header from a Paulo Junior cross.

Richards has so far scored three goals from 22 matches in the MLS this season, which includes the 17 matches for the New York Red Bulls where he had been for six seasons.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Kelly netted his fifth goal from 16 matches to spearhead Charleston Battery in the USL Pro Play-offs. Kelly was on target in the 86th minute in Charleston's 4-0 whipping of Rochester Rhinos at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, New York.

Tony Donatelli, who had a brace, and Amadou Sanyang, earlier paved the way for Charleston, who are third in the league with 37 points, after leaders Orlando City, 56 points, and the Rhinos, 38 points.

On loan from Tivoli Gardens, Kelly equalled his season-best five goals for Charleston last season when he played 23 matches.

Fagan, 25, has kept up his end of the bargain for cellar team Hai Phong when he scored his eighth goal from 23 matches in his team's 3-1 loss to Kien Giang in the Vietnam Super League.

Kien Giang are in 10th place with 29 points while Hai Phong are in 14th place with 14 points in the 14-team competition.
