BEIJING, China — Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) President Dr Warren Blake missed out on claiming a spot on the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Council by four votes, at the IAAF Congress in Beijing, China.
The JAAA president was seeking one of the nine seats for Ordinary Members on the IAAF Council from the 39 nominees named.
He told OBSERVER ONLINE a short while ago that he knew it would not have been easy.
"It was always going to be difficult with so many good candidates," Dr Blake said.
