KINGSTON, Jamaica - Within minutes after the women’s 4x440 relay team's bronze equalled the Beijing medal haul of 11, Jamaica's 4x100 men's relay team gave the island a twelfth — gold in world record time.
Jamaica won six gold medals at the Beijing 2008 Olympics one more than the London tally. The Caribbean island finished third in track and field behind the US and Russia.
