Jamaica Scorpions defeated defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Red Force when they amassed a record 434-4 in the first semi-final match of the Regional Super50 Tournament at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on Wednesday. The Scorpions’ 292-run victory was led by man-of-the-match Rovman Powell, who smashed 95 runs and took five wickets. Chadwick Walton (117 runs), Jermaine Blackwood (108) and Steven Taylor (88) aided the carnage. Jamaica Scorpions will face the winner of the Barbados Pride-Leeward Islands Hurricane semi-final match scheduled for yesterday.
