Jamaica qualify for women’s 4x400 relay final

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Jamaica (3:25.25) running in the last of three heats at the World Championship Friday morning qualified for the women’s 4x400 relay final finishing second to Russia (3:23.51).

USA won Heat 1 in 3:25.18 from Italy (3:29.62) and Ukraine 3:29.63

Favourites Great Britain (3:25.39) won Heat 2 from Nigeria (3:25.39) with France (3:27.75) in third

The first two in each heat and the two fasts losers qualify for the final at 10:30am Jamaica time Saturday.
