Jamalco, Waulgrovians 'A' in netball clash

DEFENDING champions Jamalco and former many-time champions Waulgrovians 'A' clash in the feature Group Two encounter in the 2013/2014 Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS)/Netball Jamaica Open League competition which continues today at the Leila Robinson Courts, beginning at 3:40 pm.

Both teams are currently unbeaten in their group and today should decide who will remain unbeaten and become sole leaders.

The other unbeaten teams that will be in action and looking for another win are UWI Pelicans, battling against Police 'B' at 1:00 pm; Molynes United 'A' taking on unbeaten and promising Ken's Wild Flower; Police 'A' up against Ocho Rios at 3:00 pm; Alpha 'A' who face Southboro 'A'; and GC Strikers 'A' go up against Tantrum at 5:40 pm.

These teams will play again in another match later in the afternoon. This afternoon's first round of matches is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. A total of 40 matches are scheduled to be played today.

Other matches scheduled are Police 'B' vs UWI Pelicans; Blades United 'B' vs Rollington Town; Southboro vs Ebony Strikers; Link United vs Payne Land at 1:00 pm; Boulevard Baptist 'A' vs Liguanea 'A'; Greenwich vs OMEGA 'B, Jamaica Defence Force vs Genesis at 1:40 pm.

At 2:20 pm Spanish Town vs Arnett Gardens; Westchester vs Cablepro; Tivoli vs Hagley Park 'B'; Jobs Lane 'B' vs Tantrum; Hagley Park 'A' vs Alexander Strikers 'A'; Molynes 'B' vs OMEGA 'A'; EXED Saints vs Global United.

Points standings of the leading teams in each of the groups are as follows: Group One - Ken's Wild Flower 16 points, Molynes 'A' 16 points, Boulevard Baptist 'A' 13 points.

Group Two - Jamalco 15 points, Jobs Lane 'A' 12, Hampshire 'A' 12 points

Group Three - Police 'A' 15, Hagley Park 'A' 12, Molynes 'B' 10; Group Four - Blades 'A' 15, Friendship 15; Group Five -Rivoli United 'A' 15, Mico 'A' 12, Hampshire 'A' 12; Cablepro 15, Tivoli 12, GC Foster Strikers 'A' 12.

Group Six - Alpha 'A' 15, UWI Pelicans 12; Group Seven - Cablepro 15, Rivoli 12, GC Foster Strikers 'A' 12; Group Eight - SPEG 18 points, Jetsetters 'A' 15, GC Foster 'B' 15, Mico 'B' 12 points.
