KSAFA/Hi-Lyte Major League kicks off today

THE Kingston & St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) 2013-14 Hi-Lyte Major League competitions kick off today with four games.

Zone A games are New Kingston vs Olympic Gardens at Maverley field and Bull Bay vs Central Kingston at Bull Pen.

In a Zone B double-header at Molynes field, Stony Hill play Pembroke Hall at 1:30 pm, and Molynes United take on Meadforest at 3:30 pm.

Tomorrow, there will be four more games to complete the first round. In Zone A Rockfort vs Whitfield Town at Rockfort and Seaview Gardens vs Swallowfield at Seaview.

In Zone B, Duhaney Park vs Cooreville Gardens at Duhaney Park, and Maverley/Hughenden vs Red Hills at Maverley, with all games beginning at 3:30 pm.

Teams in the Major League will be divided into two zones of eight each, and will play each other on a home-and-away basis. The top four teams from each zone will advance to the quarter-finals.

The champion and runner-up teams will be promoted to the Super League for the 2014-15 season.

Zone A teams are New Kingston, Olympic Gardens, Bull Bay, Central Kingston, Rockfort, Whitfield Town, Seaview Gardens, and Swallowfield.

Zone B teams are Pembroke Hall, Stony Hill, Molynes United, Meadforest, Duhaney Park, Cooreville Gardens, Maverley/Hughenden, and Red Hills.
