Tanto Campbell

Tanto Campbell is a bronze medallist at the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games. He will compete in discus class F56 and is in his third Paralympic Games.

The 26-year-old married father of a daughter has been elected to lead the team and will carry the flag at tomorrow's Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Stadium.

The most visible member of the team was ranked number one in the world in 2006, the same year he won the Commonwealth Games gold medal.

Campbell, who has a twin brother Toto, lists reading and watching television among his hobbies.

Alphanso Cunningham

Alphanso Cunningham is a gold medallist at the 2004 Paralympic Games. He will compete in javelin and discus class F53.

The always smiling 32-year-old, who is nicknamed 'Anancy', is a gold medal prospect here and has consistently thrown over 26.00m in training both here in London and during pre-Games camp in Bedford.

Cunningham, a real live wire personality, also has a 2006 World Championships silver medal and lists playing music as his hobby.

Sylvia Grant

Sylvia Grant is a seven-time Paralympian. She will compete in javelin class F57.

The most experienced of the trio here had her first Games experience in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea.

The Portland native has six Paralympic Games medals and three from the Paralympic World Championships, but is still seeking that elusive gold.

She won three silver medals in Seoul in the discus throw, javelin and pentathlon; a silver and a bronze in the javelin and discus, respectively, in 1992 in Barcelona, and a javelin bronze in 1996 in Atlanta.

At the World Championships in Nagano, Japan in 1998 she won two medals — a silver in the javelin and bronze in discus and a javelin bronze in 2006 in Torino, Italy.

Sylvia will never be mistaken for a shy retiring person and despite using her wheelchair most of the times, she is constantly on the move and was even asked to lead chorus during a church service and at a gospel concert in a pub while in Bedford for a pre-Games training camp.
