MONTEGO BAY, St James — Montego Bay Cricket Club Knights justified their top ranking by easing into the finals of the Hi-Lyte/Insports Western Basketball Association's Men's Championships with a big 85-62 win over Sav J-Hawks in Sunday's semi-finals at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.

Jamoi Richards' game-high 25 points pushed Knights, last season's beaten finalists, into an all-St James best-of-three finals against giant-killers Montego Bay Boys Club Warriors, who a day earlier had eliminated Trelawny Tornadoes.

After a close first quarter where Knights led by just two points (17-15), Knights exploded for 23 points in the second quarter to lead 40-27, then scored 33 points in the third quarter to kill off the game as a contest, as they led 77-46 going into the fourth quarter.

Omroy Kerr supported Richards with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Lamar Mitchell also scored 13 points in the victory.

Chescardo Grant led Hawks with 16 points, Curtis Anderson scored 13 points, while Evern Mills scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds.
