NCB, Scotia in tantalising Inter-Bank tussle

DEFENDING champions Scotiabank Group and National Comercial Bank will meet in the feature match of the JNBS/Western Sports-sponsored Norman Goodison Inter-Bank football competition today at Winchester Park at 4:00 pm.

Both teams had good Business House seasons, with NCB winning the Division Two title and Scotiabank placing second in Division One competition.

Scotiabank are runaway leaders in the competition with 12 points from four games after scoring an average of eight goals per game.

NCB are in second position on seven points, having won two games, drawn one and lost 3-2 against RBC Royal Bank.

The Paul Hibbert coached NCB will be looking to George Clarke, Delon Dixon, Carol Dean Lewis, Calneth Gray, Victor Riley and Andre Cunninghan for victory.

The Neville Bell-coached Scotiabank will be looking to Richard West, Stefan Bartley, Jamoy Sibblies, Anthony Greenland, NorWayne Knight and Damion Crooks to make it five straight wins.

In the curtain-raiser at 2:00 pm, third-place RBC Royal Bank, on six points from three games, will be going for their third victory of the season when they meet Pan Caribbean/Sagicor.

At the NWC field, the undefeated JNBS and JMMB will meet at 2:00 pm, while in the feature match at 4:00 pm, Bank Of Jamaica will play CIBC/FCIB. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.
