KINGSTON, Jamaica- Scenes from an eventful track and field day six of the London 2012 Olympics.
Shelly-Ann Fraser -Pryce finished second in 22.09, her personal best, in the women's 200m final today. The race was won by American Allyson Felix in 21.88.
While Richard Phillips crashed out in the semi-finals, Hansle Parchment created history by being the first Jamaican to medal in the men's 110m hurdles at the Olympics.
He finished third in 13.12 seconds,achieving a national record.
Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Warren Weir all advanced comfortably to the finals of the men's 200m scheduled for tomorrow at 2:55pm.
After a valiant effort Kaliese Spencer finished fourth in the women's 400m hurdles in a season's best 53.66 seconds.
