Monday, July 09, 2012
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Kevin Jarrett scored twice in the first half to lead Paradise FC to a 3-0 win on Wednesday at the UDC field and a 4-1 aggregate win over Copperwood in the finals of the St James Football Association's Guardian Life Division Two competition.
After playing to a 1-1 draw the previous week, Paradise, who were in their second season in the competition, jumped out to an early lead when Jarrett scored twice in the space of three minutes in the first half when he netted in the 29th and 31st minutes.
Second-half substitute Shane James scored within minutes of coming on the field in the 87th minute to secure the win for the Karsten Walker-coached Paradise.
Both teams will advance to the Division One league next season.
