Pearson takes Olympic 100m hurdles title

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Australian Sally Pearson won the Olympic women’s sprint hurdles in 12.35 seconds with American Dawn Harper a close second in 12.37.

Reigning Olympic champion Harper, who clocked a personal best 12.37, chased Pearson to the line in an exciting finish to the women’s 100m hurdles final.

American Kellie Wells was third in 12.48.
