Pines Imaging U-17 gets underway

THE Pines Imaging Centre/Portmore Under-17 Football League kicked off on July 8 at Passagefort with 21 teams participating.

In the opener, defending champions Rodwood defeated Watson Grove, 2-0. In other results, East Portmore Portals whipped Bridgeport, 7-0; Wanderers blanked Silverstone, 6-0; Cedar Grove beat Monza, 6-0; Cumberland beat Garveymeade, 4-1; Portsmouth FC topped Braeton, 4-1; Racing blanked Bridgeport, 3-0; Daytona defeated Naggo Head, 3-0; Christian Pen got past Westchester, 3-1, and Greater Portmore edged Hellshire, 2-1.

Pines Imaging Centre has been sponsoring the competition for nine unbroken seasons and according to managing director Dr Welsford Sinclair, "The establishment is more than happy to be a part of the Portmore footballing family."
