REGGAE Boyz Captain Rodolph Austin, three local-based players, and 14 officials are slated to depart the island today en route to Antofagasta, Chile, where they will compete in the Copa America Chile 2015.

The contingent departs the Norman Manley International Airport just after 3:00 pm for Panama City, Panama, from where they will connect to Santiago de Chile, before boarding a local flight north to Antofagasta where they will set up a training camp ahead of the tournament.

The three local-based players are Hughan Gray of Waterhouse, and the Montego Bay United pair of Allan Ottey and Dino Williams.

It is understood that the majority of the 23-man squad finalised by head coach Winfried Schaefer on Monday evening will arrive in Chile by tomorrow night.

However, midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson, who plies his trade with FC Dallas in US Major League Soccer, is not expected to join the team until June 14.

Jamaica and fellow CONCACAF team Mexico are invited guests to the tournament which was first held in 1916. This year's edition kicks off next Thursday and runs through to Saturday, July 4 with the final at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos, Santiago de Chile.

The Boyz are drawn in Group B alongside defending champions Uruguay, 2014 World Cup finalist Argentina, as well as Paraguay.

Schaefer's charges will open Group B against Uruguay at 2:00 pm (Jamaica time) on Saturday, June 13 inside the Estadio Regional Calvo y Bascunan in Antofagasta.

They then take on Paraguay three days later on Tuesday, June 16 at the same venue at 4:00 pm (Jamaica time), then close out against the Lionel Messi-led Argentina at 4:30 pm inside the Estadio Sausalito in Vina del Mar on Saturday, June 20.

The top two teams from each of the three groups, as well as the two best third-placed teams advance to the knockout stages.

The Boyz will have very little rest time as they head to the US and Canada for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which runs from July 7-26.

Then they bow into the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia in late August to early September.
