Scotiabank on fire in Division One

FORMER champion Scotiabank Group shot to the top of the 2012 Western Sports KSA Business House Football Competition Division One tables after they whipped Caribbean Cement 4-0 at Bull Pen on Tuesday.
Anthony Greenland scored the first goal in the fifth minute, while former national player Sheldon Palmer scored a hat-trick in the 35th, 55th and 83rd minutes.
Scotiabank Group have 16, the same as defending champion Petrojam, who were leaders for the last five weeks. Petrojam clipped another former champion National Water Commission 2-1 last week Wednesday at Tinson Pen Football field. Dennis Niesh gave Petrojam the lead in the 70th minute, but Marlon Henry equalised in the 76th minute, while Yoan Blake got the winner in the 86th minute.
Scotiabank lead on goal difference.
In other games last Thursday, UWI defeated NHT 4-0 and Wisynco Group beat Gleaner 3-1.
In another Division One match on Tuesday, promoted Division Two champion Jamaica Customs secured their second straight victory of the season as they clipped Norman Manley International Airport 1-0.
In Division Two, Xerox and NCB played to 2-2 draw at Ardenne High School, while Red Stripe played to a 1-1 draw with JUTC.
The league competition will take a break this week as the second round of the Scotiabank Group sponsored knockout competition got underway yesterday.
