Sherwin Williams Women's league kicks off today

THE 2012 Sherwin Williams Women's Football League will kick off this afternoon with a full slate of games across the two zones.

In Zone One, defending champions Barbican take on newcomers GC Foster College at Barbican Complex, Waterhouse entertain Trelawny Women at the Drewsland mini-stadium and last season's runners-up Los Perfectos go up against Arnett Gardens at Brooks Park.

In Zone B, Portmore Strikers play UWI Women at Racing field, Santos will meet Harbour View at Bell Chung Oval and St Thomas Strikers host Olympic Gardens at the York Oval. All games start at 3:30 pm.

Each team will play five games in the first round with the top team on points, from each group, at the end of the round advancing to the mid-season final, which is set for July 28. The second round is due to start of August 5.
