Smith, Fletcher to lead Grenada teams

ST GEORGE'S, Grenada (CMC) — West Indies cricketers Devon Smith and Andre Fletcher have been appointed captains of two national teams for the Windward Islands cricket tournaments next month.


Grenada is hosting both tournaments from December 5-16.


Smith will lead Grenada's team for the two-day tournament while Fletcher takes charge of the Twenty20 squad.


The selectors have included newcomers Nickosi St Hillaire, a right-handed batsman, and schoolboy Javed St Paul, who is also an outstanding track athlete.


The teams will be coached by Ricky Williams with Randel Baptiste as the manager.


Two-Day Squad -- Devon Smith (Captain), Eamon Alexander, Akim Alexis, Andre Fletcher, Denis George, Keone George, Lindon Lawrence, Nelon Pascal, Rudolph Paul, Denis Smith, Nickosi St Hillaire, Javed St Paul, Josh Thomas.


T20 Squad --Andre Fletcher (Captain), Eamon Alexander, Akim Alexis, Tade Carmichael, Denroy Charles, Ronald Ettienne, Denis George, Lindon Lawrence, Micah Narine, Nelon Pascal, Rudolph Paul, Devon Smith, Josh Thomas.
