TREMAINE Stewart struck twice on Monday to help Aalesunds FK defeat Fredrikstad 3-1 at Nye Fredrikstad Stadion in the 2012 Tippeligaen (Norway Premier League).
A former Portmore United player, the 24-year-old Jamaican was on target in the fourth and 40th minutes to bring his tally to four goals from 13 matches in the league.
Michael Barrantes increased Aalesunds advantage in the 56th for his fifth goal of the season before Mouhamed Gueye gave Fredrikstad their consolation goal on 73 minutes.
Having been in the starting line-up five times for his club, Stewart has so far logged 552 minutes this season. He is averaging a goal every 138 minutes.
The win put Aalesunds on 26 points and 10th place, with Fredrikstad in relegation zone with 15 points and 15th place in the 16-team competition.
Stewart, who has four caps and one goal for the Reggae Boyz, has been in good nick for his Norwegian team, scoring another three goals in Europa League qualifiers in four matches.
Meanwhile, in the El Salvador Primera Division, Sean Fraser remained the leading marksman when he netted in the 40th minute for leaders Alianza to blank Juventud Independiente, 3-0, on Sunday.
Fraser moved up to seven goals, two ahead of Isidro Metapán's Nicolás Armando, the next top scorer in the league.
Alianza are atop the table with 14 points after the seventh round of matches. Five teams follow on 11 points, with Juventud in ninth place with six points in the 10-team league.
