DIDIER Traile of Campion College won the Boys 14s and Boys 18s titles of the rain-affected Russell Tennis Academy/Hi-Lyte Junior Super Series which ended weekend at Deep Dene on Hopefield Avenue.

Traile demolished schoolmates Jason Lawrence 6-1 for the Boys 14s and overpowered Donclair Brown 6-4 in the Boys 18s, both competitions played in knockout format.

"I can't believe I won the Boys 18s because most of these players are really good and really big," Traile said excitedly, "but I just did my best and I am very happy that I was able to win both categories," he added with a big grin.

Rain washed out the 10 & Under and 6 & Under tournaments last weekend and they will now be played on September 29 also at Deep Dene beginning at 2:00 pm

The Super Series, meanwhile, was completed over two weekends.

In the girls 18s, played in round-robin style, Tahirah Williams outpointed Mishka Hookim 25-19, both also from Campion College.

Happy about her win, Williams admitted that the matches were challenging as "all the girls played really hard".

The players were quenched by Hi-Lyte Sport Drink, the official hydration drink of Russell Tennis Academy, and lunch was provided courtesy of Dominos Pizza.
