UPDATE: Kaliese Spencer charged with WADA whereabouts violation

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has confirmed that Kaliese Spencer is the female athlete who has been charged with a whereabouts violation in keeping with the rules of the World Anti-doping Agency.

“We have been advised by JADCO that athletes Kaliese Spencer and Riker Hylton have been referred to the Independent Anti Doping Disciplinary Panel for a hearing to be conducted in accordance with Article 8 of the JADCO Anti-doping Rules 2015. 

“Both athletes are alleged to have violated article 2.3 of the said rules which speaks to “Evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection.” As the matter is now before the Disciplinary Panel we will not be commenting any further on the matter,” JAAA said in a release this afternoon.
