Update: West Indies vs New Zealand 315-5 (50 overs)

The Jamaican pair of Christopher Gayle and Marlon Samuels spanked aggressive hundreds as West Indies posted a formidable 315-5 against New Zealand in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the five match series at Sabina Park today.

Scores: West Indies 315-5 (50 overs)

The left-handed Gayle, who recently returned to the team after a longstanding impasse with the regional Board, scored a thumping 125 to became the top century-maker in West Indies ODI history.

Gayle slammed nine sixes and hammered eight fours off 107 balls for his 20th hundred in the 50-overs format. He was previously tied with batting great Brian Lara on 19.

Samuels scored a fluent and elegant 101 not out from 103 balls for his third career ODI ton.

Tim Southee was the top bowler for the ‘Kiwis’ with 3-55 off 10 overs.
