Win at last for Highgate
BY PAUL A REID Observer staff reporter
Monday, October 15, 2012
FROME, Westmoreland — Highgate United finally got in the win column in the Red Stripe Premier League after edging promoted Savannah 1-0 at the Frome Sports Complex yesterday.
Carlos Barrett's 32nd minute goal was enough for Highgate, but the St Mary club are still rooted at the bottom of the points table
on five.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Savannah who started their first season in the league like a house on fire, winning their first three games and led the league over that period.
Savannah, who are dropping in the tables like a stone, are stuck on 10 points and have not scored a goal in their last two games.
