Young Sunshine Girls thrash Barbados for fourth straight win

The unbeaten Jamaica Under-16 netball team triumphed 38-21 over Barbados in the 2014 Jean Pierre Youth Netball Tournament in Antigua and Barbuda on Thursday evening.

Goalshooter Simone Gordon landed 34 shots from her 37 attempts, while goal attack Shanique Francis scored four from nine attempts, which gave the Jamaicans their fourth straight win in the youth tournament.

The Jamaicans led from start to finish as they ended the first quarter 9-4. They out-scored their opponents 10-6 in the second quarter. The third quarter saw the local girls increasing the score to 29-13, before sealing the game with the final tally.

The young Sunshine Girls were slated to face St Kitts last night.
