Clarks Town could join Links at summit

Thursday, February 28, 2013

BLACKWIN, Trelawny — Former champions Clarks Town could join leaders Prospect Links at the top of the Trelawny Football Association's Monymusk White Overproof Rum Major League when they travel to Blackwin to face Classic United in a third-round cross-zone game, set to start at 3:00 pm.

One point separates the teams in what is expected to be a close contest. Clarks Town are on 17 points in fourth place, while Classic are on 16 points, both trailing leaders and mid-season champions Prospect Links, who are on 20 points, all from 11 games played.

Clarks Town are coming off a 1-1 draw against Exidos So Fresh on Sunday, but Classic who will be at home will be confident after spanking beaten mid-season finalists Invaders 3-0 in their last game.

In another game today, Exidos So Fresh and Granville FC will both be seeking their first cross-zone win when they meet at Bunkers Hill.

Exidos So Fresh are in seventh place on 15 points, two places and two points better than Granville.
