JNA to stage coaching seminar
Tuesday, January 29, 2013
THE Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) is set to stage its first coaching seminar for primary schools coaches/teachers across the island.
Dubbed a Netball Skills Seminar for preparatory and primary school coaches, the one-day seminar will be held at Ardenne High School on Ardenne Road in St Andrew on Saturday, February 16.
Sessions will be conducted by Margaret Beckford, the first president and a founding member of the JNA. Beckford will be assisted by Yvonne Price.
The JNA says the seminar is to impart proper coaching methods to the primary school teachers so that children at an early age will be taught properly how to play netball. "It's all a part of the development programme for netball," said Marva Bernard, president of the JNA.
