Liguanea 'B', Genesis score big wins in SVL Minor League netball

LIGUANEA United 'B' and Genesis came out with

big wins as the 2013 Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL)/Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) Minor League competition got underway at the Leila Robinson Courts on Tuesday evening.

The Liguanea 'B' aggregation defeated Greenwich Town 'B' 34-4 after leading 21-4 at half-time, while Genesis beat Rollington Town 'B' 30-17 after taking a 14-7 lead at the interval.

Results of other matches played on Tuesday were: Pembroke Hall 'A' defeated Department of Correctional Services 28-17 with the winners leading 16-7 at half- time. Newcomers Top Mountain Flames got past Starlight 24-21 after a 13-8 lead at the break.

SKIBO 'B' outscored Southboro 21-14 after a half-time lead of 14-7; Payne Land defeated Edna Manley Strikers 19-5 with the winners leading 7-3 at half-time; Maxfield Park 'C' got past EXED Saints 18-16 with the winners trailing 5-9 at half-time, while Hannah Town clipped Drewsland 21-20 with the winners coming from a half-time 10-14 deficit.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) Major League begins today with four matches, starting at 6:00 pm. These matches will be played for a duration of one hour.

Matches to be played are: Molynes United 'A' vs Police 'A'; Blades United 'A' vs Friendship; Jesetters 'A' vs Leiba Gardens, and University of the West Indies (UWI) Pelicans vs Rivoli United 'A'.
