NINE talented starters face Mr Starter over five and a half furlongs (1,100 metres) in a Graded Stakes event tomorrow including the unlucky Diamond Mile non-starter, She's A Maneater.

This is not even close to a slam dunk for the classy filly as she is going to find it quite demanding defeating her eight rivals, allowing so much weight to all and with a trip which is far from being her best.

Let's take a look at all the starters and their possible chances of winning in post-position order.

MONEY MAGNET: ( f – Nuclear Wayne Jazzy Jet) — Did well when finishing fourth in the Diamond Mile, having missed the Sprint Championship in early November. Money Magnet is a fighting and rather game filly who prefers to be off the pace before making a strike in the straight. She showed good pluck in the Diamond Mile and now going a distance more to her liking, Money Magnet is not going to be overpowered.

MR UNIVERSE: (4-ch.c - Region Of Merit Raging Fury) — Did his job in the Diamond Mile before fading away. Ran encouragingly in the Sprint when he showed his fighting ability then he raced down the five straight on November 24, when he won clocking a smart 58.2 toting 126 lb. Now he is light, very light making him a dangerous fellow as he is sure to lead. Mr Universe has to be caught.

PATRIARCH: (3.b.c – Casual TrickElectrifying) –— Still finding his space at the top level. Handicaps suggest that after being beaten by Mr Universe on November 24, in receipt of approximately 12 lb, and now at level weights with his conqueror, Patriarch is going to be hard pressed to turn the order around, then again handicaps have been breached before.

PERFECT NEIGHBOUR: (8.dkb. – Natural SelectionDesperate Housewife) — Has no place here.

SHE'S A MANEATER: (4.b.f – Natural Selection Ahwhofah) - Bolted on last in the Diamond Mile and was therefore unable to defend her crown. Came out of that encounter without any major damage and has since been doing well at exercise without running away the egrets. Fit and ready again, but She's A Maneater is allowing too much weight to some good horses and will have to be in the pink of form to win this one. It is not going to be easy.

CHACE THE GREAT: ( g – Greatness Our Miss Ruth) — Has really come to life in the last quarter of the year. On November 10, he successfully defended his Sprint Crown (6 furlongs) in style, beating the likes of Mr Universe, Patriarch and Campesino. Then in the Diamond Mile, Chace The Great did magnificently well to notch third position. Tomorrow he receives approximately 15 lb from She's A Maneater over a distance he prefers more than the filly plus he is fit, and ready for battle. Chace The Great has shown time and time again that he does not have to lead, but he's strong and talented enough to lay in waiting before slipping into contention coming into the straight. Chace The Great needs no encouragement to win and is the firm choice to sprint home in front in this one come tomorrow, She's A Maneater and all.

PEKING CRUZ: ( g - Traditional Patty Girl) — Gave a lot of trouble in the Diamond Mile and was declared a late non-starter. Peking Cruz came out of this horrible ordeal with no major injuries and has been back at exercise as he prepared for this race. Peking Cruz gave an eye-catching run in the Sprint when he finished third behind Chace The Great and Mr Universe carrying 121 lb compared with 126 lb for the other two who beat him. Tomorrow Peking Cruz totes the same weight as Chace The Great and Mr Universe and should find his task rather trying.

CAMPESINO: (8.b.g - Compadre Yaella) — Did rather well when coming off a break to finish fifth in the Sprint on November 10. Campesino then confirmed his form when he failed by just a half-a-length to beat Mr Universe down the five straight. Now he races with the lightest weight (110 lb), he has carried in many, many moons, giving him a good chance of even winning this one despite his eight years. Don't write off Campesino just yet.

HOUDINI'S MAGIC: (6.dkb.h - Performing MagicMilestone) — Has it all to do in this one.
