With just under three weeks left for the 2018 running of the prestigious Diamond Mile, the possible starters are coming clearly into view.

The Diamond Mile sponsored by the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) and Supreme Ventures Limited is down for competition on Saturday, December 1 at Caymanas Park.

The latest list published by the promoting company, Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited has the 22 entries and purses earned thus far for each of the horses.

Topping the list is She's A Maneater, whose earnings for the year has surpassed $5 million after victory in Saturday's Burger King Superstakes. Even without her win in the Superstakes, She's A Maneater had already qualified based on her finishing second in a Grade One race earlier in the year.

Of special note is the fact that the winners of the Sprint Championship, Chace The Great, — and the winner of the Invitational Mile, Without Exception, have both qualified automatically for the Diamond Mile, along with Derby winner Drone Strike.

This year's Diamond Mile promises to be a humdinger with the Robert Pearson-trained Will In Charge seeking to avenge his short-head Superstakes defeat at the hoofs of She's A Maneater on Saturday.

The three-year-old lot on the list guaranteed a place is led by Peking Cruz, who did well against the top-class horses in the Sprint on Super Day, Fayouz, fourth in the Mile and Without Exception.

The hope now in the camp of trainer Richard Azan is that his filly Money Magnet who was a late non-starter in the Sprint on Saturday will be fit enough for Diamond Mile duties on December 1.

Some of the connections of horses on list of 22 face a waiting game to see if participation in the Diamond Mile is possible.

These include mainly Bigdaddykool, Houdini's Magic and Hilly's Halo.

The maximum field form any one race in Jamaica is 16.
