RACE 1-$350-300,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Mr Lyndhurst led Tough Cookie, Balazo and King Within narrowly into the straight before establishing a better advantage in the upper stretch. King Within seemingly broke down 350 out and neither Tough Cookie nor unsound Balazo could find any more and both dropped out. Formal Justice, who lost her last four races by over 60 lengths combined, returned to form suddenly and produced an irresistible late turn of foot to catch Mr Lyndhurst within shades of the wire for victory at odds of 162/1 leaving most punters with exotic wagers reeling.

RACE 2- $550-500,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Odds-on favourite Little Big Horn led clear from Like A Lady, Urban Principal and King Within to turn for home on top. Urban Principal travelled best from 400 metres out and ran determinedly to collar Little Big Horn and wear him down for a narrow but somewhat decisive victory.

RACE 3 -RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (THREE-YEAR-OLDS ONLY) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Away from September 2017, Exhilarate, with a change of stables reported well trained and made all the running to score by nearly three lengths from JamalJames thus suggesting she has prospects of making a big impression on her sprint races in the foreseeable future.

RACE 4- $180,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Going: Sloppy

Laguna Point led early from Clearly Ours, Princess Statistic and Sundance then went clear 300 metres out to win by all of seven and a half lengths obviously finding the sloppy surface much to her liking.

RACE 5- MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT (TWO-YEAR-OLDS) 800METRES/4FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Trevor's Choice led favourite Tricky One from the gates and was not allowed to idle by the rider who used the left-handed whip generously. Scoring by two lengths, Trevor's Choice, looks useful, did not really impress but definitely has scope for improvement while Tricky One looks likely to more than pay her way going forward as the wet conditions may have hampered her effort.

RACE 6- MAIDEN CONDITION (FOUR-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

Strikeprincegeorge led General Mubaraak, Prince Malik and Sweetie Girl down the backstretch and into the final bend. Synchronize, out for her 21st start and having showed very little ability prior, had a market signal in her favour to be sent off at 5/2. Racing with the back-markers early Synchronize commenced her bid from 750 metres out and mended steadily. Wisely taken wide coming into the bend Synchronize got to the leader General Mubaraak 100 metres out and beat him by one and a half lengths in the end to post that long-awaited victory.

RACE 7- RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE IV (FOUR-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS/NW2) 1600METRES/8FURLONGS

Well-backed El Maestro was a marginal leader from Classy Vishala going past the 800-metre point with Boss Izzy close up third. Twilight Storm made a sharp move from fourth to join the leaders on their inside and took the lead entering the stretch. Blood Song running on from well off the early pace as usual challenged Twilight Storm for the lead successfully 200 metres out and outstayed her by five and a half lengths.

RACE 8-MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS ONLY) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

Virtuoso was early into her gallop but had unwelcome attention for the headline from Alexa's Star before assuming sole leadership 700 metres out. Sendamessagetomama, looked exceptionally well and ran accordingly stalking the front runners to the top of the home straight. Virtuoso's attempt to escape ended 200 metres out when Sendamessagetomama drew alongside then ran away to win by just over three lengths. The 'message' has finally reached.

RACE 9-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (THREE-YEAR-OLDS/NW2) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURONGSS

Isinbayeva and Ackee Pie led with odds-on favourite Barcelona challenging wide into the final bend. Ackee Pie, obviously not relishing the underfoot conditions, retreated quickly leaving Isinbayeva the most prominent of all with Barcelona still close but struggling to find extra. Quantum Dancer impressed in the post-parade with her physical well-being and despite being the last to leave the gates mended steadily throughout and surged past the leaders late to win by two and a half lengths from Cherokee Way also closing well.

RACE 10- RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE IV (FOUR-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS/NW3) 1200METRES/6FURLONGS

Stanislaus led Lady Exotic, Rockdale and Aurelia's Summer with Toot The Blues in touch at a fast pace to the top of the stretch. Assuming leadership at the distance Rockdale looked the likely winner before Regal Prospector came with a strong run on the far rails to wear him down to score narrowly under a good ride by jockey Shane Ellis.
