While the Roderick “Pilot” Francis Trophy is listed as the feature race on tomorrow's 11-race programme at Caymanas Park, great attention is going to be placed on the Open Allowance event to be run over 5 furlongs.

Eight horses face Mr Starter, with the analysis of the runners done in order of draw.

– NUCLEAR FLIGHT: (4.dkb. f – Nuclear Wayne – City Flight) — Tried her luck going long (7 furlongs) on March 9 and performed admirably. Now, Nuclear Flight returns to a trip to which she is better suited and, if allowed to lead from the one draw, is going to prove very difficult to catch.

– SECRET TRAVELLER: (5.b. g – Traditional – Sea Traveller) — Cannot compete against these in this hot sprint, although Secret Traveller will be running one if the speedier ones crack.

– BIMINI: ( m - Seeking The Glory – Maria Elena) — Although tough, resilient and travelling over a distance much to her liking, Bimini is going to be hard-pressed to beat younger and faster opponents here.

– PEKING CRUZ: ( g – Traditional – Patty Girl) — Peking Cruz has been competing admirably at the top level but has not been able to find the winning post in front since October of 2018. Peking Cruz and Nuclear Flight have developed a competitive rivalry which should see both giving no quarter come tomorrow. Peking Cruz is better off in the handicaps compared with Nuclear Flight, and may yet gain the upper hand.

– ANOTHER BULLET: (7.b. h – Nasheet – Wisely Noted) — Beaten by Nuclear Flight going 6 furlongs — a distance to which Another Bullet was better suited, this after being in front of the filly over 5 furlongs. Another Bullet is now much better off in the handicaps, and with the apprentice slipping even more weight can atone in this one. Expect Another Bullet to be just off the leader/s before making his move in the last furlong.

– ADONIS: ( g – Blue Pepsi Lodge – La Reina) — Coming to this level for the first time with four straight wins on his back but Adonis will have to pull out all the stops to deliver plus this is not a five straight.

– PAKMAN: (5.b. h – Taqarub – Lady Jagrati) — Still finding his feet in this class.

– EXHILARATE: ( f – Blue Pepsi Lodge – Purejoy) — Has not shown much since moving to this level and needs much more time.
